For Great Aviation Stories!

The staff at HistoricWings.com wishes to extend our deepest sympathies to the victims and families of those who lost loved ones in these recent terrorist attacks. The entire world is in mourning for these losses which extend far beyond the immediate results of these horrific acts.

In the wake of these attacks, the aviation artist and noted illustrator Scott Allbee prepared two special edition desktop backgrounds, featuring one of the most famous flags in the history of the United States carrying the words, "Don't Tread on Me", as well as another featuring the Statue of Liberty blazoned with those immortal words, "United We Stand".

Now it is time for us all to take this historic opportunity to do future generations a favor and eliminate the scourge of terrorism once and for all. Let there be no mistake, had these terrorists had nuclear weapons, they would have used them. Therefore, we can only amplify the words spoken by Senator John McCain, himself a former Naval aviator, when he stated, "God have mercy on them, because we won't."

To all of the soldiers, sailors and aviators who over the years have supported and been regular members of the HistoricWings.com family, we stand behind you. Good luck and God speed.
